Confirmed speakers are Dan Farthing, Grant Colthup, Jonathan Milgate, Andrew McCallum and David Jackson.

Dan Farthing – Dan is a dad, founder, networker and mentor. He’s passionate about technology and how it is changing the way we can do business. Data analysis has always played a major part in his career, from his network engineering days to building his own cafe business and tech start-up that is using big data to optimise freight and logistics. Dan loves finding opportunities in understanding data, metrics and how we can use it to make better business decisions.

Grant Colthup – Grant is a trusted finance professional and leader in the Australian STO and blockchain space. He has held positions with a global macro hedge fund, Macquarie Bank and IAG, which has afforded him with experience across all asset classes and forms of investment strategy for portfolios with a combined FUM in excess of $10 billion USD. Grant recently resigned from IAG and began his own venture, Poiesis Capital – an alternate asset advisory and management company.

Jonathan Milgate – Jonathan is one of the stalwarts of the Newcastle tech scene. Active in the local community, he is part of the team that brought the largest tech conference to the region last year, DevOps Days Newcastle 2018. He is currently the CTO for local startup, Camplify – Australia’s largest RV sharing community, the airbnb of caravans, campers, and motorhomes. Jonathan has a background in big data, geospatial data analytics, machine learning, and AI through his experience with local start-up Anditi, and online real estate classifieds Homesales.com.au.

David Jackson – David is the CEO of Blockchain Australia, Chairman of ASX listed company REFFIND, Non-Executive Director at the world’s largest blockchain loyalty start-up www.loyyal.com and is Co-Founder of Australia’s blockchain incubator and capital partners fund BLOCKLabs and DION Capital. He is a serial entrepreneur, crypto analyst and angel investor to early stage businesses in Australia, Asia and the USA. David’s passion for supporting innovation in Australia and beyond has led him to become an active member of fintech incubator, Stone & Chalk, and tech accelerator, BlueChilli.

Andrew McCallum – Andrew has over 15 years experience turning ideas into businesses. With a proven track record of managing and developing complex, high-risk technology products at all stages of the lifecycle, he is experienced in Corporate, Startup and Scale-up Innovation across high growth, high volume, highly regulated, and highly transactional environments. Andrew is the CEO of AUXHub International, a B2B Referral Platform, CEO and Founder of XYZ International, bringing Venture Capital and a Mentor driven accelerator network to regional startups, and was a Co-Founder of REFFIND.
