Following the CONDA winning debut production ‘Constellations’ in 2018, Seated Ovation returns in 2019 with a production of local play ‘Property of the Clan’ written by local playwright and Oscar Nominated Screenwriter Nick Enright.
A Property of the Clan, deals with the tragic loss of a young girl at the hands of one of her male contemporaries. What is the aftermath? How will her friends cope? How can such violence be understood? A Property of the Clan deals with these issues with honesty, sensitivity and intelligence.
Following characters that show all the different reactions to the event, A Property of the Clan promises to be an engaging and strong night of theatre that remains current just 25 years on.
This important play features a strong ensemble of emerging and established artists from the area. Featuring Ellee Hall, Ned Keogh, Ollie Crawford, Issabelle Moy, Oliver Macfayden Emma Wood and Rosemary Dartnell.
This 1993 AWGIE award winning play marks it’s return to Newcastle and will be Directed by Zac Smith (Dreamtime, The Girl with the Golden Locks).
