Applications are now open for the latest round of Lake Macquarie Council’s Event Funding Program.
Individual grants worth up to $8000 are available to organisers of minor and major events that create, build and support communities in the region.
“This funding gives hundreds of thousands of people the opportunity to take part in creative and meaningful events. We hope this will bring together the community and attract visitors,” Manager Arts, Culture and Tourism Jacqui Hemsley said
“Belmont Surf Life Saving Club, Newcastle Jets Football Club, and Lake Macquarie Music Society were among the organisations whose events we helped fund in the last round.”
In total $100,000 worth of grants are up for grabs.
“Demand for event funding is high, so strong applications are vital,” Jacqui said.
