Enjoy the luxury of a Hunter Valley long lunch at voco Kirkton Park

There are few things that say “luxury” quite like a lazy long lunch.

An idyllic setting, platters piled high with fresh, seasonal produce, incredible wines and great times with friends. What could be better, right?

Well, voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is celebrating is gorgeous surrounds with a special series of Long Lunches on the Lawn.

With the next event kicking off on August 3 with Usher Tinkler Wines each lunch is being curated to celebrate the beauty of the everchanging landscape and seasonal produce of the Hunter Valley, with incredible share-style menus paired with the best of the best from local vineyards.

What to expect

Guests will be wowed by the stunning setting, with beautifully set long tables spanning the lawn of voco Kirkton Park under the majestic gums and overlooking the natural waterways and gardens of the property.

Menus will be based on a banquet-style, shared platter philosophy and built around seasonal produce sourced from both the voco Kirkton Park estate and kitchen garden; as well as from local producers by the hotel’s new chef, Prabhat Kumar Prawin.

General Manager Penny Crossley said the series was designed to give
guests the chance to taste the fruits of the hotel’s paddock-to-plate philosophy.

“We have been working hard towards becoming a sustainable business, particularly so in the past 18 months,’ Ms Crossley said.

‘Our vegetable garden is a vital part of our paddock-to-plate philosophy, as are our onsite beehives which produce honey for us. It’s our aim to be producing 80% of our vegetables grown on-site in the very near future. The Long Lunches will enable guests to experience that.”

To make things more appealing, exclusive voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley accommodation rates will be available for Long Lunch guests.
