Just when you thought life on the Island couldn’t get any better along comes Earp Distilling Co.
Established in 1883, we have always associated the Earp name with incredible tiles. Turns out they also excel in the drinks arena, too.
And they’re bringing the same level of style and quality seen in their ceramics to their newly opened distillery in Carrington.
In typical Newcastle Live fashion, we just had to try it out and we wanted to try as much as possible.
So, a spirit flight was just right.
You can choose from the house range of spirits and liquors for $3 each and pair them with a mixer. Our stand-outs from the selection were absolutely the No.8 Dry Gin – a great blend of botanicals which when mixed with Mediterranean tonic totally hit the spot, and the sensational Summertime Limoncello.
So much so we had to take a bottle home. “When life gives you lemons” may just be our summertime swilling motto.
The venue itself is a beautiful combination of modern and industrial, the cocktails are seasonal and inviting and the tapas-style menu has been curated with the help of our favourite Mayfieldians, Pork Ewe Deli.
What more can we say…run, don’t walk, to Carrodise as soon as you can.
Earp Distilling Co. is located at 41a Darling Street, Carrington.
