Since 1998, when Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme formed the Eagles Of Death Metal, the band have always delivered full-throttle high-intensity live shows. They’ll be bringing that energy to Newcastle in April as part of their Bluesfest sideshow tour, and we can’t wait!
While it’s hard to pin one specific musical genre to the band, who hail from Palm Desert in America’s California, Josh Homme once famously described it as “bluegrass slide guitar mixed with stripper drum beats and Canned Heat vocals.” But whatever you call it, there’s no doubt the band have carved out a unique slice of musical history in their wake.
With four studio albums under their belt, Eagles Of Death Metal will be drawing on a wealth of material during Bluesfest sideshows. You can expect to hear songs like Miss Alissa, Wannabe in L.A. and Save a Prayer and a bunch of material from their June 2019 release Eagles of Death Metal Present Boots Electric Performing The Best Songs We Never Wrote which features 13 covers of songs.
We reckon tickets to this gig are going to be a hot commodity, so make sure you jump on the presale on Thursday 13 February at 10 am. Full details are below.
