DONUT DELAY: Limited edition doughnut beer won’t last long

Western Australian brewery, Mash Brewing has announced the release of a new beer that will have Springfield’s favourite Dad in absolute raptures.

The Donut Beer release is made possible due to a partnership between the brewer and social enterprise Donut Waste.

Donut Waste‘s mission is to create circular solutions for products and materials that would otherwise end up in landfills… Including unsold doughnuts!

For the brew boffins, the beer is basically a Pastry New England India Pale Ale (NEIPA). And it packs a punch too coming in at 6.2% ABV.

The brewers say it tastes surprisingly citrusy and kind of tastes like a tropical glazed doughnut.

Unfortunately for us east coasters, Mash Brewing’s Donut Beer is a limited release and will mainly be sold in its Swan Valley. But if you’ve got a good relationship with your local independent bottle shop you could talk them into ordering some direct from Mash.

And you’ll be doing a good thing by picking up a slab of it too because for every can sold 50 cents will be donated to OzHarvest which basically means for every can sold they’ll be able to make one meal for someone in need.
