Doughheads plunges hand in cookie jar for trio of Arnott’s-inspired treats!

They say you’ve got to risk it to get the biscuit. And this is certainly a truism not lost on Doughheads.

If their recent homage to old school bakery treats had you salivating, just wait ’til you see what’s cooking over at the Jesmond-based eatery.

The humble cookie jar and iconic Aussie brand Arnott’s are the inspiration for the latest crop of special guest stars, creating a trio of perfect tea-time treats!

Yep, that’s right. Three of the most iconic biscuits to have ever graced an Australian table – the Tim Tam, the Monte Carlo and the Wagon Wheel -are getting the Doughheads treatment for the next two weeks

Arguably our unofficial national treat, the Tim Tam has, quite rightly, become an Australian culinary cornerstone, however the Doughheads tribute threatens to usurp its namesake in the tasty stakes.

Honestly, if the very thought of a salted caramel-filled doughnut, dipped in milk chocolate ganache and topped with vanilla buttercream and low gluten chocolate cookie crumble doesn’t fill you with an undying yearning to get this thing in your belly, you might have no soul!

Similarly, the Doughheads take on the iconic Wagon Wheel – dipped in chocolate ganache and filled with house-made jam and marshmallow, and topped with a shortbread crust and raspberries, is a confection enthusiasts fever dream that we can certainly get behind!

Last but certainly not least, the Vegan Monte – a doughnut smothered with vanilla buttercream, and drizzled with raspberry jam, a brown sugar biscuit crumble and coconut is a biscuit tribute to behold.

This triumvirate of tasty treats is available to order for delivery or pickup until Sunday 11 July. Doughheads is located at  Shop 17, 200 Union Street.
