Hunter Drama has unveiled its production lineup for 2025 which includes the premier Dot & the Kangaroo JR in Newcastle.
Based on the 1899 children’s book Dot & the Kangaroo, the production Newcastle will get to see next year was written by Hunter Drama Executive Director, Daniel Stoddart and will be directed by Newcastle musical theatre star, Brooke Lidbury.
“It’s a privilege to work on Daniel’s first junior musical. The music is wonderful, and I’m eager to help bring it to life,” Brooke said.
The production tells the story of a young girl who embarks on a wild adventure through the Australian bush and interacts with all the animals she meets along the way.
