It seems the pizza boffins over at Domino’s HQ don’t give tinker’s cuss for your quest to attain summer beach bod perfection.
Yep, that’s right. The pizza juggernaut has just gone and unleashed a garlic bread pizza onto the unsuspecting public,
The creation is not merely a pizza base stacked with extra garlic, but rather a carb-laden concoction that features actual slices of garlic bread on top of an already fully realised pizza!
Apparently the creation is the brainchild of Domino’s chief garlic bread tester Zach Gracie (yep, it’s a thing) when he took on the coveted role back in November 2019, and said seeing his vision come to fruition was one of the proudest moments of his career.
“I spent hours experimenting in the Domino’s development kitchen, dreaming up all sorts of pizza and garlic bread innovations,” he said.
“I remember thinking ‘I know it sounds crazy, but what if I combine garlic bread and pizza?’ So I did, and it was beautiful.
“I think that was one of my proudest moments as Domino’s Chief Garlic Bread Taste Tester, and I’m so excited that others can finally try my creation!”
The definite ‘sometimes food’ is made up of a classic crust base, lashings of cheese, garlic butter and spring onions and will set you back a meagre $7.95
If you are brave enough take this thing on, you’ll have to get in quick because it’s only available until January 12 via the Domino’s ‘super-secret’ menu which can be accessed here.
“Pizza is our passion and we’re excited to provide our customers with a new way to enjoy their favourite pizza and side all in one,” Domino’s Australia and New Zealand CEO Nick Knight said.
“This pizza is here for a short time only, so if there were ever a time to break those New Year’s resolutions, this delicious carb-on-carb creation is it!”
