DOBELL FESTIVAL RETURNS: A month of creativity, workshops, and exhibitions in Lake Mac

Lake Macquarie’s annual Dobell Festival is back this June.

The festival promises plenty of creativity and celebration of esteemed artist Sir William Dobell with a stack of events, workshops, courses, and exhibitions held in different venues across Lake Macquarie.

Locals and visitors from across the region eagerly anticipate the festival, one of the biggest annual festivals of its kind in the region, each year.

Sir William Dobell was known for his passion, innovation, fringe, experimentation, and creative excellence, so it’s fitting that the event provides a platform for artists and creatives to showcase their talents.

One of the festival’s most popular events is the biannual Open Studios event, which offers a unique opportunity to see artists at work in their studios.

Open Studios, Which will be held on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June this year, gives Art lovers the opportunity to meet artists, learn about the creative process and experience a unique behind-the-scenes look. Visitors are also able to purchase unique artwork to take home.

Whether you’re an art lover, an aspiring artist, or simply looking for a fun and inspiring way to spend your time, the Dobell Festival has something for everyone.

But with so much to do over the festival, it’s time to start planning your itinerary. To find out more about June’s Dobell Festival in Lake Macquarie visit lakemac.com.au.
