DEANNA ROSE ‘HEART SONG’ EP LAUNCH, LIZOTTE’S

Here’s our gallery from the launch of local songstress Deanna Rose’s EP, ‘Heart Song’ at Lizotte’s on Saturday night. Those who were there were treated to a night of superb vocals, harmonies, song writing and duets.

Deanna’s beautiful voice, honesty and passion for song writing left no doubt as to why international super star Ricky Martin chose Deanna for his “The Voice 2015” team. Deanna’s set was fantastic and left the big crowd wanting more.

With fabulous opening sets from Joram Nathan (Jimmy Bazil Project.), Milli Casey, Allison Forbes and a special guest appearance from Alexis Ting, it made for a magic night of original live music at this beautiful old venue which could only be described as a jewel in Newcastle’s live music crown.

At 16 years old, on a balmy May Friday night way back in 1975. I rolled up to the Forestville Youth Centre (The Forrie Bop) tickets were a couple of dollars and the band on the night included the likes of Bon Scott, Angus Young, Malcolm Young, Paul Matters and Phil Rudd, yes ‘ACDC’ all for $2.00, can you believe that.
