Dashville Skyline celebrates 10 years with eclectic lineup announcement

Over the years Dashville Skyline has earned the reputation of being the perfect marriage between music and old-school festival vibes. So it’s apt that the first lineup announcement for the 2024 instalment of the cosmic country weekender can be summed up by the matrimonial rhyme – Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue.

For the uninitiated, the annual Dashville Skyline festival is held at Dashville, in Wonnarua Country, Hunter Valley NSW, over the October Long weekend.

The vibes are laid back and family-friendly, people are encouraged to camp in the well-appointed grounds and even if you come alone you’ll be amongst friends.

Musically, the festival is always a feast that draws from the broad church of country music. Some acts on the lineup are for the purists and others will soon become your new favourite band.

And this year’s lineup is no different.

Something Old

This first lineup announcement comes in strong with Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks who are promising a set of pure hits from Ross’ 50-year career including cuts from the Daddy Cool and Mondo Rock catalogue and legendary Goanna frontman, Shane Howard will also hit the stage over the festival weekend.

Something New

One of the things we love most about Dashville festivals is their dedication to all the great local acts we’re lucky enough to have in the Hunter. The 2024 Skyline festival will see acts like Grand Pricks, Field Of Crows, Magpie Diaries, Piper Butcher and Leroy Macqueen represent the local scene on the lineup.

Something Borrowed

Besides Thrashville, we’re pretty sure Hunter artist William Crighton has played every Dashville festival Magie has ever dreamed into existence. Always a highlight of any festival lineup, we can’t wait to see what Crighton brings to the 10th edition of Skyline this October.

Something Blue

UK-based folk singer Grace Petrie and popular roots outfit 19-Twenty will bring the blue to this year’s festival. It will be the first time we’ll get to hear cuts from Grace’s amazing new album Build Something Better and if you’ve never seen 19-Twenty before, get ready to be hit by an audible freight train.
