Skyline returned to its home among the gumtrees at Dashville after two years of rescheduling, and what a happy return to the simple enjoyment of festival music it was.
From the get-go, Jessie Redwing on electric blues guitar was outstanding, to the relentless showcase of bands fusing indie alternate, rock psychedelic and a โdashโ of country.
Friday night was the highlight with Tracy McNeil & The Good Life, Ben Leece and Left of the Dial and headliner Joe Camilleri all high energy, outstanding sound and delivered the appropriate amount of grunt to announce festival music is back and better than ever.
Other notable acts were Amends, CJ Stranger, Melody Moko, Eagle & The Wolf, Katie Brianna and Piper Butcher who all delivered high energy performances and pulled the attention of the crowd.
As Sunday slipped away Magpie Diaries, joined by CJ Stranger on guitar, completed the knowing that everythingโs gonna be alright, itโs ok.. festival music is back and here to stay and the merch store is brimming with shirts and vinyl – So get into it!
