The Melbourne Cup has been run and won for another year. The hats have been put away, the champagne back in the fridge, and Australia’s love affair with horse racing over for another year.
But what about the other 364 days of the year? Darren Brollo from the Animal Justice Party was at Royal Randwick yesterday for the Nup to the Cup protest.
He spoke to Tracy Mac on Newcastle Live Radio about the changes he believes need to be made to the racing industry and why he is running for Newcastle City Council.
