Country stars kick off a cracking Live on the Lake series!

Country icon Adam Brand will bring a taste of Tamworth to the Toronto Hotel this weekend.

The Toronto Hotel has certainly been kicking some goals of late with some awesome shows as part of the Live On The Lake series.

Well, that looks set to continue in 2021 with a slew of top notch gigs in the offing over the next few months.

The fun kicks off this weekend with A Taste Of Tamworth – Country On The Lake. This show will see Aussie country music icon Adam Brand take to the stage with fellow multi-Golden Guitar winner Jayne Denham, ARIA-award winning musical comedian Buddy Goode, and local talents Kristy James, and Abby Yeo.

From country greats to Oz rock icons, the next cab off the rank is sure to excite pub rock fans because The Radiators are coming to rock the lake on Australia Day Eve.

Yep, that’s right. The Rads will be bringing their kit bag of pub rock hits, including Coming Home, 17 (I Wish I Was), Summer Holiday and more in what promises to be a heck of a show.

In keeping with the Oz rock icon theme, they don;t come much more iconic than ARIA Hall of Famer Russell Morris, and The Real Thing hitmaker will be doing his thing on Sunday 14 February.

Having released a string of hits in the late ’60s and early ’70s such as the aforementioned blockbuster, Sweet Sweet Love, Wings of an Eagle, and Part Three Into Paper Walls, Russell made an astonishing comeback in 2021 with the brilliant Sharkmouth which was to become the first in a blues and roots trilogy followed by Van Diemen’s Land, and Red Dirt – Red Heart.

In 2019 Russell Hit it out of the park again with the Bernard Fanning and Nick DiDia produced Black and Blue Heart

And if that wasn’t enough, fellow no-foolin’ hitmakers Dragon will be bringing their It Comes in Threes tour to the venue on Saturday 20 February.

This show will see the band rip into three hit songs from each and every album the band his released during their storied forty year career, making it one not be missed!

The incomparable Jon Stevens and James Reyne will also be making visits in February but unfortunately for us slow coaches, these shows have sold out.

So, it looks like it’s going to be a gig lover’s paradise at Toronto Hotel in 2021 so make sure you keep an eye on their Facebook page for updates.
