Homegrown supergroup Australian Rock Collective (ARC) is set to bring their electrifying tribute to Pink Floyd to Newcastle this August. The powerhouse supergroup, featuring Kram (Spiderbait), Darren Middleton (Powderfinger), Mark Wilson (Jet), and Davey Lane (You Am I), will perform Wish You Were Here and Dark Side of the Moon live at the Civic Theatre.
With a combined 33 ARIA Awards and 16 Top Ten albums between them, ARC is no stranger to delivering masterful live performances. Their latest tour commemorates the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, pairing it with Dark Side of the Moon, an album they’ve previously performed to immense acclaim. The fusion of these two masterpieces in one show promises a deep dive into Pink Floyd’s groundbreaking soundscapes and lyrical genius.
Fans can anticipate an immersive sonic and visual experience, complete with dazzling prism-shaped lighting and the band’s signature high-energy delivery. Each member of ARC brings decades of experience and passion, ensuring a performance that pays true homage to Pink Floyd’s legacy while injecting their own unique musicianship. Their ability to channel the essence of these classic albums while adding their own flair has cemented ARC as one of Australia’s premier live acts.
The Newcastle show is part of a national tour that kicks off in Caloundra on August 9 and wraps up in Perth on August 23. Other stops include Brisbane, Tweed Heads, Canberra, Sydney, and Melbourne, with each performance set in a prestigious theatre or concert hall.
