Collect some Mayhem and Madness at The Lock Up

Grassroots arts organisation The Lock Up has become quite an integral part of the Newcastle artistic landscape since its inception.

Now, The Lock Up is asking Novocastrians to dig deep, get their groove on and collect some art, to support its program through two major fundraising events – Mayhem and Madness and Lock Up Collect.

Featuring an incredible line up of more than 50 artists, The Lock-Up Collect will offer the public the opportunity see and collect work by some of the best artists in the Hunter.

A short run exhibition of only eight days, works will be available for sale throughout the exhibition period with 50% of all sales made going to support The Lock-Up.

Participating artists include James Drinkwater, Lottie Consalvo, Peter Gardiner, Brett McMahon, Michael Bell, Sally
Bourke, Lucas Grogan, Vera Zulumovski, Lezlie Tilley, Braddon Snape, Eddie Milan, Jane Lander and Kara Woods.
This is the perfect opportunity for art collectors, art lovers and those interested in starting to collect, to purchase a work by
one of the Hunter Region’s many outstanding artists, while supporting The Lock-Up.

Just what is Mayhem and Madness?

On Saturday 30 March, The Lock Up will be transformed into a cornucopia of music, art and food with the Mayhem and Madness fundraiser.

The 1970’s themed fundraiser party will feature local funk outfit The Buzzard Mix and DJ Boostie providing the soundtrack to the evening with guests encouraged to embrace the theme; think wigs, jumpsuits, flares and

Ticket price includes food and entertainment with a bar also operating on the night.
