Newcastle’s leading contemporary art space, The Lock-Up, is once again throwing open its doors for COLLECT—its annual fundraising exhibition and art sale.
From early-career talent to celebrated names, the 2025 iteration promises to spotlight more than 100 artists from the Hunter and beyond.
Every purchase made helps sustain The Lock-Up’s innovative programs and the artists who shape them.
Visitors to the show can expect to see a diverse mix of media and styles, from painting and sculpture to experimental and conceptual work.
Standout names in this year’s lineup include James Drinkwater, Lottie Consalvo, Jasmine Craciun, Deborah Kelly and Alex Seton, with the full artist list reading like a who’s who of Hunter-region creativity.
All works will also be available for purchase via The Lock-Up’s online shop.
COLLECT reflects The Lock-Up’s mission to amplify diverse voices and connect Newcastle’s artistic community to the broader Australian arts landscape.
The exhibition turns the gallery into a vibrant hub where collectors, artists, and art lovers converge, spark dialogue, and create new possibilities for creative exchange.
Opening night bookings are essential, and the show runs during regular gallery hours through August.
COLLECT 2025 will launch with an opening night event on Friday, 6 June, and run until 10 August 2025, and if last year’s opening night is anything to go off, you’ll need to get in quick via humanitix.com.
