Colin Hay will hit the road for an Australian tour next year including a show here in Newcastle.
The legend of Australian music will bring a full band along for the tour which will see the highly awarded songwriter play through his impressive body of work from Men at Work classics to his solo releases.
Earlier this year Colin was awarded Ted Albert Award for Outstanding Services to Australian Music.
“To receive the news that APRA wanted to bestow this most prestigious Ted Albert Award is very special indeed. This award is for outstanding services to Australian Music,” he said.
“I think services is the keyword here. It’s important to realise at some point in your life that it is a valuable thing to be of service. To be of some use.”
Colin’s latest release, the 2022 long player, Now And The Evermore was well received by fans and critics and in the same year he won the Best Dance / Electronic Release at the ARIA Music Awards for a remix of his song Down Under reimagined by producer, Luude.
Colin Hay will hit the stage at the Civic Theatre in Newcastle on Saturday, 6 July 2024.
