TOP TIPPLES: Cocktails we can’t wait to get acquainted with this week!

Ahh, cocktails. If there is a nobler pursuit than mixing booze with other booze in a quest for Epicurean nirvana, we don’t want to know about it!

And when it comes to Insta and palate-worthy aperitifs, there’s no denying that Newcastle’s game is strong, with pretty much every pub, club, and bar offering up a selection of top tipples.

So, here are four cocktails of the week/month that we just can’t wait to wrap our laughing gear around. Bottom’s up!

Uptowns Bar
23 Watt St Newcastle

This sweet treat is Uptown’s cocktail of the month and apparently, it’s so good they decided to launch it early!

A collab with Newy Burger Co, the Caramilk Crusher is a sweet tooth’s delight featuring vodka, Baileys, Newy Burger Co’s Caramilk cream, crushed ice and a Cadbury flake rim!

Apparently, NBC has also mixed this one up as a boozy slushie so you can get your Caramilk fix while pounding burgs!

The Greenroof
Tudor Street Hamilton

Cold enough for ya? Well, why not cruise into The Greenroof and warm the cockles of your heart with this spicy concoction?

A twist in the classic Margarita, this Mezcal-based marvel will leave you hot under the collar and wanting more thanks to a healthy kick of chilli.

The Greenroof staff reckon this one is “the spiciest of boys,” and we’re definitely keen to put that claim to the test this week!

5 Sawyers
Darby Street, Cooks Hill

Hey, smokers. How many times have you tried to quit? Turns out all you need is this inviting number which is the cocktail of the week at 5 Sawyers.

Dubbed the Licorette, Licorette, You Can Beat The Cigarette, this cocktail features the light and creamy Spanish liqueur, the almond-flavoured amaretto liqueur Disaronno, lemon juice, vanilla syrup, whites.

Honestly, there will be no time for heading outside for a dart as you’ll be busy at the bar ordering yet another one of these bad boys!

Stag and Hunter
Maitland Road Mayfield

If this fancy-looking cocktail of the month at the Stag and Hunter tastes as good as it looks, then we’re definitely in trouble!

This Pink Lady is minimalism in a glass, made of just three ingredients – Chombard, apple juice, and fresh lime – and we’re there for each and every one.

Oh and you can nab one of these dainty drinks for just ten bucks!
