Hobart band Chase City are headed to Newcastle on January 30 for a show at The Lass O’Gowrie in support of their new release, I Lost Myself.
Taking cues from the likes of Vampire Weekend, Last Dinosaurs and Two Door Cinema Club, the Hobart band’s latest single ‘I Lost Myself’ is a high octane indie rock piece; showcasing all the best qualities of a pure pop song whilst displaying a unique indie sound that keeps listeners holding on for more.
Unearthed by triple j and selected to open the main stage at Falls Festival the band gained further exposure through spins on national radio, extensive touring and high profile support slots with chart toppers such as Sticky Fingers, Yacht Club DJ’s and British India.
Over the last year Chase City has been incredibly busy with touring and releasing. In just 9 months the band has completed 3 national tours with a whole lot of success on the road. Recently the band has been winning new fans particularly in Melbourne supporting Sticky Fingers on their sold out album launch at 170 Russell and New Navy at the local Northcote Social Club.
