A Cessnock local is $100,000 richer this morning after a win in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The lucky win came after a challenging couple of years for the local resident, and the newfound fortune will allow her to spoil her family with a grand celebration.
The woman, who held the 1st Prize winning entry in draw 10865 on August 5, 2024, also claimed a consolation prize, bringing her total winnings to $102,000.
“I don’t know what to say!” the winner, who wished to remain anonymous, said.
“Wow! This is the loveliest surprise after a tough couple of years.
“I’ve been playing Lucky Lotteries occasionally for some time now. I enjoy buying a handful of tickets here and there.
“I’ve always thought it would feel amazing to win something! I always told myself that I’d share half of whatever I win with my children.
“I’m also due for a new car and a coffee machine so this is great timing.”
The winning ticket, consisting of five consecutive numbers, was purchased at Cessnock Plaza News & Gifts, a local shop that has seen its fair share of lottery success.
