Only hours after Frontier Touring announced the postponement of the Tenacious D show in Newcastle yesterday, frontman, and Hollywood megastar, Jack Black took to Instagram to announce that the whole tour was cancelled.
Not long after, ticket holders were advised that they would be sent communication from the authorised ticketing outlets about a refund and the comment threads we’re going off.

There is absolutely no way that these 2 highly intelligent, world-wise individuals hold these sycophantic, flimsy, politically toadying view points. I’m not sure who is pushing them to say these strained, hollow things (or what is being held over them to force their hands) but it is a real shame that they have both agreed to do so.
I don’t see the big deal. It was clearly a joke. Everyone knows birthday wishes are only real if you don’t say it out loud.
I’d say a lot of pressure from Studio executives, producers etc of Jacks upcoming movies. Protecting the “Jack Black” brand. Harmless lapse in judgement with a joke that didn’t land well. No room for actual friendships when you are a brand name. I feel sorry for Kyle.
I don’t support this, and I don’t understand! My 10 year old was gutted as it was his birthday present..
They are on a world stage with many followers. It’s one thing to have your own opinion but to share such hate and promote shooting people is another! No one should think this is ok ….it just makes you a follower of violence!

Ending a relationship like your and Kyles is not an appropriate reaction Jack Black. Calling it out as inappropriate.. Fine 👍.. You should. But you should do it standing by his side!
We are all human… and make mistakes
A verbal comment said on the spur of the moment… I definitely don’t condone it… no one should, but also an abrupt apology on their behalf could have sufficed… and people could make up their minds if they still wanted to go to the concert… it should be a very big lesson that has been learnt…. comedy has always tread that thin line… (just look at Ricky Gervais…. )
We can’t all think and feel the same…
It was a terrible thing to say on stage…
