Finally some good news for live music lovers.
One of the city’s most loved live music venues, The Cambridge Hotel has been taken off the market and will remain a live music venue for the foreseeable future.
State Member For Newcastle Tim Crakanthorp said,
“The news that The Cambridge will remain open as a live music venue is absolutely a win, for the community and live music.
“The Cambridge is one of the last legendary live music venues in Newcastle and it was imperative to the Taskforce to have it remain.
“I’ve been working hard with my Labor colleagues and taskforce members to ensure that live music doesn’t just survive, but thrives in Newcastle.
“To fans of The Cambridge who feared the worst, the icon of live music in Newcastle will remain for the time being.
“People who love live music, love the Cambridge.
