TWISTED FIRESTARTER: Burning of the Barrell returns to the Hunter in June

Glandore’s Burning Of The Barrel is touted as one of the best wine experiences in the world. And it’s back for 2022!

Part of this year’s Hunter Valley Wine and Food Festival, Burning Of The Barrel combines the fire, local food, Wine, Crafty Beers and great music into one unforgettable night of indulgence.

Listed by Gourmet Wine Magazine in their Top 50 Wine Experiences, every year Glandore take the event to new heights.

Glandore members have the chance to take part in a Firestarter Lunch from noon ahead of the burning event.

Chief Winemaker Duane Roy will host the lunch which features a 5-Course Flame Cooked Degustation Menu and a lineup of current, rare and large format wines all enjoyed on the deck of the cellar door.

Firestarter Lunch ticket holders will also get reserved seating for the main event.

Tickets to the main event, which kicks off at 3 pm, include a Glandore wine glass, a glass of wine on arrival, a fireside all night grazing menu and a cheese board for two.

Bus Transfers to and from the event are available from Luckys and can be booked during the checkout process while buying your tickets.

People travelling from Newcastle can be picked up and dropped off from the Newcastle Interchange, McDonald Jones stadium or Wallsend McDonald’s for just $55 per person.
