Your guide to eats on Beaumont Street Islington

This year, we’ve been working with Hamilton Business Association to showcase everything Hamilton has to offer. So this time we decided to head across the tracks to Beaumont Street, Islington.

There are so many great places to grab a bite to eat when you cross the tracks on Beaumont Street. From pub favourites and cafe eats to Chinese, Italian and Middle Eastern fare. There’s even a vegetarian offering serving up plant-based street food!

Here’s your guide to eats on Beaumont Street Islington…

If you’re after some truly authentic middle eastern food, you’ve come to the right place. Flame-grilled Lebanese barbecued meats, delicious salads and tabouli like you’ve never had it before. The people behind the counter care deeply about every dish that hits your table and you’ll taste it in their wonderful food. If you’ve not eaten here, you’re missing out!

This iconic hotel is well known for its support of local and travelling artists, but if you’ve never dropped in for a bit to eat you’re missing out. All the stuff you want from a pub bistro is there like burgers and schnitzels but you gotta check out a Hamo Bowl which featured lashings of braised lamb with chilli rice, sour cream, homemade corn chips, and slaw.

Some days you just wake up craving some beef and black bean, a serving of spring rolls and maybe even a cheeky honey chicken or sweet and sour pork. Well, that’s what you’re going to get at Hamilton Chinese on Beaumont street. It’s honest, unpretentious Chinese food and there’s a stack of vegetarian options too.

They say that coffee never sleeps… It’s hard to walk past Suspension Espresso without floating in to order one of their delicious cups of amazing coffee. And while you’re there you’d be hard-pressed to walk out without some sort of yummy snack to sustain you until your next caffeine hit.

A collection of some of the best vegetarian street food offerings from cultures all around the world, all offered in one place. You’ll find things like vegetarian burgers, freshly cooked fries, moreish arancini balls and gozleme on the menu.

Authentic Italian food in the old Tailor’s Workshop on Beaumont Street. And while it’s tempting to order too much of their delicious pizza (and calzone – OMG the calzone), we totally recommend leaving room for a yummy Italian dessert.
