BAN PLASTIC: If Brisbane can do it so can Newcastle!

If Brisbane City Council can do it, so can Newcastle!

That’s the message behind a local campaign to stop the use of single-use plastics (straws, bags, bottles, helium balloons) in Newcastle.

“Plastic straws, plastic bags, helium balloons and plastic bottles (& too many other types of plastics) pollute the coastlines and oceans, killing and injuring precious wildlife,” says Mia Mac who is gathering support via an online petition.

If you feel the same you can sign Mia’s online petition via this link.
