A new album from Ball Park Music is only a few months away, and to celebrate the band are hitting the road for a national tour which includes a date in Newcastle.
The Brisbane five-piece will roll the tour van up at The Bar On The Hill in June with supports Rat!hammock and the mighty King Stingray.
Weirder & Weirder will be the band’s seventh studio album and while it’s yet to see the light of day it has already spawned the single Sunscreen which scored a spot in Triple J’s Hottest 100 for 2021.
A second single from the album Stars In My Eyes, released on 24 February has already become a fan favourite and sparked a run on a preorder for a limited edition blue marbled vinyl release of the album.
The last Ball Park Music album, a self-titled release in 2020 debuted at number two on the ARIA Charts and scored them a nomination for Triple J’s Australian album of the year.
You can preorder Weirder & Weirder by visiting the band’s website. Ball Park Music will play the Bar On The Hill on 18 June 2022. Tickets are on sale next Tuesday, 8 March, with a fan pre-sale kicking off tomorrow, 4 March.
