Fresh produce, re-cycled books and haut couture clothing will all be on offer at Newcastle East Public School’s Colonial Fair on Saturday October 18. In celebration of 198 years of schooling the fair is all about the school’s heritage and history and you’re invited to join in the fun.
It’s all happening on Saturday October 18 between 9am to 2pm, and the organisers promise an “emphasis is on quality”.
There will be a range of gourmet foods available, including French, Indian and Chinese, as well as premium barbecue food. For those in need of a Saturday morning pick up there will be excellent espresso coffee from trained baristas, with specialty cakes and slices to feast on as you take in the sunny school lawn under their shady trees.
Fresh produce will also be on sale, along with re-cycled books and haut couture clothing. The school is calling on the communinty to join with them in their celebration by browsing the stalls while the kids enjoy superb of rides, or visit the petting zoo.
To top it all off the students of the school have produced some dazzling craft items for sale and have organised live music throughout the day, from classical to rock and choral.
