Taasha Coates, one half of Australian blues roots out fit The Audreys, says their show at Lizotte’s on 8 November is the 10 year celebration of their debut album Between Last Night & Us they didn’t get around to having last year.
The Between Last Night & Us tour is a special trip down memory lane for the act that formed in Adelaide in South Australia back in 2004.
The tour takes in some of The Audreys’ favourite city venues and some out of the way spots they played back in the early days. Taash tells us during our recent phone interview that Getting back out on the road was always high on the priority list for the duo.
“We’ve always been a live act. It’s where we developed our craft and it’s where I personally feel most at home” Tassh says.
“We should have done it last year for the anniversary but I was too busy landing a cowboy to marry”
To add to their original chemistry, The Audreys have pulled long-time friend and sibling Cameron Goodall back into the fold for the tour.
“He just knows our music, and he was there when it all happened. It’s the perfect situation actually” Tassh explains.
Tickets for the show are on sale now via the Lizotte’s Website.
