Newcastle-based artist Mitch Revs is currently adding his unique touch to The Bradford Hotel in Rutherford, but he is on the lookout for Newcastle’s finest tunesmiths to help get it over the line.

Mitch recently completed work on a gorgeous love letter to Newcastle in the form of a mural on the walls of Bar Beach Bowling Club.

To celebrate the project’s completion, Mitch created a video documenting the process that was set to the sounds of the latest single from Newy legends Boo Seeka, Take A Look. And the clip has been going great guns on social media ever since.

Speaking about the song choice for the Bar Beach Bowlo video on Facebook, Mitch said: “We found the lyrics ‘take a look at me now’ quite fitting, considering it’s exactly what the walls of Bar Beach Bowlo would be saying with their FRESH new look. Yew!”

Now, Mitch is looking to to the same for his Bradford Hotel mural project which will take pride of place in the hotel’s play area.

Wanting to keep things as local as possible, Mitch has put the call out for Newcastle and Hunter Valley artists to submit a track to feature on the upcoming video for the Bradford mural.

Bands, soloists and duos are encouraged to submit a track and all you have to do to be considered is to flick your track to jess@mitchrevs.com.

You’ll need to get in quick though because work on the video is due to start early next week.
