Metal heroes, Anvil, are heading to Newcastle to play a Monday, the 19th of November. While they’ve yet to announce a venue for the gig, plenty of locals are pumped to see the notorious outfit.
The 2009 documentary The Story of Anvil made Anvil famous the world over. Following years and years of trying to ‘make it’, the doco catapulted them into the spotlight. Fans of Anvil have come to love the ‘balls out, no fuss’ way that they approach their craft. They pride themselves on having no modern frills; instead, they rely on the traditional metal techniques they’ve been using for years.
Visiting our shores for the first time since their appearance at the 2010 SoundWave festival, the band took to their Facebook page to announce the Australian dates, it with no venue information.
