He’s the Sydney-based performance artist who has been cooking up a storm on ABC’s live music shoe The Set.
And Radha ((Shahmen Suku) will be bringing his unique cooking show to the Lock Up this month as part of the art space’s annual Bender party.
Also known for his work curating the 2019 Vivid Sydney edition of ARTBAR at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Radha will bring a unique cooking show experience that examines racial and cultural identity, gender roles, the home and the kitchen and, of course, food.
The Bender has built up quite the reputation for creating an eclectic feast of talent and this year promises to be no different.
Aside from Radha, this year’s iteration will also feature a golden Baroque-esque
karaoke room installation, an underground DJ room, interactive electronics, a glowing dance floor, orange massages and a real-life Merman – yep that’s right a Merman!
Each cell in The Lock Up will be stuffed to the brim with immersive installation works by artists local and further afield.
The Bender will be on at The Lock Up on Saturday 12 October.
