Looking for the perfect family day out during the spring school holidays? Look no further than Amaze & Play in the Gardens!
Hunter Valley Gardens will come alive during the holidays with a world of adventure awaiting school children from across the Hunter.
It all kicks off on Saturday 23 September and runs through, until Sunday 8 October. With activities running from 10 am to 3 pm and the Gardens open from 9am to 5pm.
A Wonderland of Activities

The adventure kicks off with a giant spring maze that will challenge your sense of direction as you navigate its 400 meters of twisting pathways. Can you spot the hidden animals along the way?
For those who crave excitement, there’s an enormous inflatable obstacle course where you can bounce, scramble, and climb your way through (please note height and weight restrictions apply). Junior jumping castles are also available for the little ones to enjoy.
Fairy and Gnome Magic

The enchantment continues as the Storybook Garden transforms into a fairy and gnome wonderland. Immerse yourself in a world of whimsy and magic, perfect for sparking young imaginations.
Bubbles, Rides, and Panoramic Views

One of the roaming entertainers will be creating fabulous shapes in the Bubble Zone, adding an extra layer of fun to your day. And when it’s time for a break, grab a ride token and experience The Swing Chair, Giant Ferris Wheel, and Superslide for thrill-seekers or take it easy on The Carousel. Don’t miss the 25 metre Ferris Wheel, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Gardens—a unique opportunity to see this stunning landscape from above.
Prizes and Competitions

Hunter Valley Gardens’ horticulture team has been hard at work creating magnificent spring installations throughout the Gardens. Marvel at colourful birdhouses, potted displays bursting with vibrant hues, hanging baskets, and participate in the local School’s Totem Pole Decorating Competition. Vote for your favourite Totem pole and support our local schools.
