Just in case you missed it, did you know that the old Newcastle Station is looking kind of… new?
Just in time for the holidays, might I add. If you haven’t had a chance to go and check it out, with School holidays well and truly in full swing, now is your chance!
Anyone who knows anything about school holidays knows it must involve coffee, always and forever. With Wildflower opening its doors only a week ago, the power couple behind the brand are already making caffeinated waves! Why not head in for a snack, a coffee, and a delightful time?
2. Kids Scooter Track
Did someone say “an enclosed area where kids can run, scoot and play oh and with coffee nearby?” Yass kween! Perfect for any playdate really.
3. Make Space
Sorry what? Did someone say kids craft activities? Well we didn’t but the makers and shakers at Make Space sure did!
The artist collective will be running kids craft workshops all through the school holidays. Jump on their Facebook page for more details. Oh, and for the adults in the group, you can pick up a whole host of amazing gifts, directly from those who made them, right in store. Win, win, win.
Because the school holidays are long and tiring, and possibly feel like there are never-ending amirite? If you need a bit of a break, or just want to carve out some quality ‘me’ time, why not head into Peaceful Minds Project? For meditation, yoga, stretch classes, all the things to make you the best you, you can be.
Books, story time, and did someone say Harry Potter? The Social enterprise bookshop is partnering with the kewl folks at 48 Watt street for this year’s production of Hogwatts – a musical parody, and transforming their humble abode into Flourish and Blotts. (For those playing at home, that’s the bookshop from Harry Potter!).
There will be kids storytime (all harry potter fans welcome) and you might even catch a glimpse of a character or two if you make it at the right time! Head to their Facebook for more details.
