Hunter Valley Winemaker, Alex Beckett has become renowned for bringing a modern twist to traditional winemaking methods. It’s a reputation that has seen him pick up the Young Achiever of the Year Award, and score him a coveted spot at The Institute of Masters of Wine.
Alex is the man behind the wine at boutique Hunter Winery, Briar Ridge. And he’s just about to release a pretty special range of small-batch white wines.
And when we say special, we’re taking the real deal. With a prestigious 5-star wine rating in the 2024 Halliday Wine Companion, Briar Ridge doesn’t muck around.
Among the exciting new releases are the beloved 2022 Single Vineyard ‘Briar Hill’ Chardonnay and the 2023 Single Vineyard ‘Dairy Hill’ Semillon.
It’s also the first time white wine lovers will get a Tate of the 2023 Single Vineyard ‘Black Cluster’ Semillon which, they say, offers a truly unique tasting experience. Additionally, wine connoisseurs can indulge in the ultra-premium 2022 Ampelus Chardonnay and, in minimal quantities, the 2023 Limited Release Fiano and 2023 Limited Release Albariño.
