AFTER THE BREAKDOWN: McAlister Kemp are back with new music

McAlister Kemp are back! After a seven-year hiatus, Drew McAlister and Troy Kemp will deliver a new single in early 2022 and hit the stage for some live shows.

Since parting ways, Drew & Troy have both released solo albums, toured far and wide and picked up a few awards too. But given that McAlister Kemp has been one of the most successful Australian country music acts of the last decade, many felt it was only a matter of time before the collaboration hit the road again.

“After a seven-year break concentrating on our solo projects, we are excited to be back together, rocking the duo again and to deliver our first new track, I can’t wait for everyone to hear it,” said Troy Kemp

“We are pumped to be re-signing with the crew at ABC Music. We have missed our fans and really look forward to bringing them MK 2.0!”

ABC music will release the new single, After the Breakdown, a song about moving on and finding hope after a tragedy or hard times, in January.

“We are so happy to welcome McAlister Kemp back to the ABC Music family. This new single ‘After The Breakdown’ delivers everything that we’ve come to love about the band over the years and we cannot wait to hear more from the album!” Natalie Waller, Head of ABC Music & Events, said.

With a swag of #1 singles & albums along with Golden Guitar & CMC Awards, the pair earned their stripes as one of the highest-selling and most loved touring acts in Australia.

“We’re very excited to be releasing new music and can’t wait to play the new songs for our fans who have supported us over so many years!” Drew McAlister said

After the Breakdown, the prelude to their fourth McAlister Kemp studio album will drop on 21 January 2022. The boys will play a live show that night to celebrate the release at West Tamworth League Club.
