With COVID restrictions continuing to ease, its seeming more and more likely that the light at the end of the no gig tunnel is getting larger.
And what better way to say bon voyage to this dumpster fire of a year with a cleansing three days of top quality tunes at Dashville.
That musical Nirvana in Lower Belford will be hosting a three-day New Year’s Eve concert series dubbed ‘A Fresh Start‘ because that’s totally what we could all do with right about now.
The series will run from Thursday 31 December to Saturday 2 January 2021 and is expected to run similarly to Dashville’s recent Sky Ball concert series with onsite camping and family-friendly, COVID-safe activities throughout each day.
While there is no word yet on the line up, you can pretty much rest assured that with the Dashville folks curating the bill, it’s bound to be a doozy.
Early bird tickets are now on sale (link below) so get in now to avoid disappointment.
Not doing things by halves Dashville also, this week dropped the first lineup for its celebration of the heavier side of the musical spectrum Thrashville.
After taking a year off in 2019, Thrashville was set to make its return in September but due to the pandemic suffered the same fate as all of Dashville’s festivals, and was postponed to the new date of Saturday 13 February.
First cabs off the rank for the 2021 iteration are a trio of quality Sydney most starters in the super heavy two-piece Astrodeath, the ’80s metal rock riffage of Battlesnake, and the frenetic punk trio Scabz while Newy melodic thrashers Pure Envy round out the first line-up drop.
It’ll be loud. It’ll be raucous. It’ll be Thrashville!
A Fresh Start is on from Thursday 31 2020 to Saturday 2 January 2021. Get your tickets here.
Thrashville will be on Saturday 13 February 2021.
