After wowing Novocastrian confection enthusiasts with last week’s menu guest star the boffins over at Doughheads have decided that it was just too special for a one-time-only appearace.
So, hang on to your hats and keep a close eye on that GI index Newcastle, because the Caramilk Brûlée doughnut is back!
If you were one of the lucky ones to catch this gloriously sticky creation on its first go-round chances are you, like us, have been dreaming about it ever since.
And who can blame you? Food wowsers with no soul that’s who! Because if a doughnut filled to bursting with a velvety smooth Caramilk custard before being dipped in a crisp toffee and drizzled with MORE Caramilk chocolate is wrong, then we just don’t want to be right!
It appears that Newcastle agrees with this sentiment as this special literally flew off the shelves during its first appearance.
Well, it seems that history is definitely repeating.
With the Caramilk Brûlée doughnut making a welcome reappearance this week, despite Douighheads overestimating the amount needed to cope with demand, each and every one was sold out by 11.30 on Monday morning.
So, it goes without saying that you’re going to want to get in quick if you want to sample this sweet treat because it’s only around for a week
