5 reasons to give learning guitar another shot

Hands up if you have a guitar sitting in the spare room that you’ve never learnt to play. Here are 5 reasons why you should give it another shot.


The more you practice the better you’re going to get. 
There’s no way around it. To learn to play guitar, you’re going to need to practice. A lot. So make sure your guitar is never far away. If you’ve never played a note, this video is for you.


Chicks dig guitar players.
It’s no secret that guitarists get all the chicks. And the guys in this video say that there has been a study into it. So it must be true.


Dudes dig guitar players.
Guys love guitar players just as much as gals. Romantic love song dedications may sound cheesy until one is performed for you. Check out one of my favourite Australian all girl bands, Skulker. Not because it proves anything, just because they’re awesome.


Stress less
Many studies have found that stress can be reduced on a genomic level by playing an instrument. Check out this video for tips on how to get your hands into the zone.


Exercise your brain
New research suggests that if you play the guitar you’re more likely to have sharper brain function.
