Vegas is coming to Newcastle for the 2023 Bean Counters Ball in May.
A joint initiative between members of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and CPA Australia, the event has raised almost $250,000 for charities, since its launch in 2011.
Attendees will be treated to a night of Vegas-themed entertainment, gaming tables, and the ball’s famous lucky dips and raffles.
The new Bean Counters ball committee have chosen the Samaritans and Hunter TAFE Foundation as the charity partners for this year’s ball and said they are looking forward to holding the event again following an extremely successful return in 2022 after the pandemic.
“The return of the Bean Counters Ball in 2022 was extremely successful with over $35,000 raised for youth and education in the Hunter Region,” Chairperson, Gerhard Bierman said.
“We are already planning a bigger and better event in 2023, and we are hoping to raise more money for our chosen charities.”

Half of the funds raised will support the Samaritans Student Accommodation project in Newcastle which provides a safe place for students to live while they are completing their education.
The other half will be donated to the Hunter TAFE Foundation which provides scholarships that support youth education in business, accounting or finance.
Tickets for the ball can be purchased individually or for a table of 10 and include beer and wine, a delicious three-course meal and entertainment.
The 2023 Bean Counters Ball will be held on Saturday 27 May at the NEX. For more information and tickets visit hunterbeancountersball.org.au.
