The grandest event on Dashville’s calendar, The Gum Ball is back for 2022. And with acts like Bad//Dreems, Skunkhour and Horrorshow you know it’s going to be an absolute cracker.
Held over the April school holidays, The Gum Ball will celebrate its 17th Birthday this year, and continue to connect community and culture.
This year the festival will pay distinct homage to the traditional owners of the land, the Wonnarua, through a one-off artwork by local Indigenous artist Debbie Becker.
The upper Belford festival also continues to bring the good with their lineup too, bringing a selection of the best musical acts from around Australia.
Bad//Dreems, Skunkhour, Mia Dyson, Horrorshow, Didirri, Ed Kuepper & Jim White, Claire Anne Taylor, Wolf & Cub, Isobel Knight & Her Band, Hot Potato Band+ Swedish Magazines, Baby Velvet, Vaudeville Smash, Bananagun, Jazz Party, Bobby Alu, Pollyman, The Bottlers, Ruby Gill, Fools, Van Walker & The Ferriters, Bones & Jones, Horse Drawn Cadillac, Peach Fur with more acts to be announced.
Adelaide’s Bad//Dreems will hit the festival stage with their brand of jangling rock & drawing on influences like Wipers, DEVO and Television.
Funky powerhouse Skunkhour is always a favourite on a festival bill and will take you right back to the early ’90s with Aya Larkin’s ethereal and powerful lead vocals.
Horrorshow are back refreshed and inspired. The Sydney hip hop duo has cultivated one of the most loyal and dedicated fanbases in the country are deep in the studio working on album #6 and a surprise collaborative project, so we’re hoping to hear a few sneak peeks when they hit the stage.
As always The Gum Ball will also welcome comedians, pro skaters markets and host workshops for festival-goers and campers.
