BEFORE LOCKDOWN: Live music photography before everything changed

Australian live music photographers capture our touring artists, the fresh new talent and the audiences that adore them.

Back in 2019, these photographers had no idea they were actually documenting a very unique moment in the nation’s live music history – The year before COVID lockdowns changed everything.

The 2019 – A Year Before Lockdown release has compiled these historical images into a short-run soft-cover publication, printed through Blurb, with 375 images over 232 pages.

The book features the work of 58 photographers who were all our photographing gigs in 2019, blissfully unaware of what was to come.

You can purchase a copy of the book for just $65.42 plus postage via the website.

When you purchase a copy of the book, a $20 donation will go directly to Support Act, Australia’s only charity delivering crisis relief and mental health & wellbeing services to artists, crew and music workers.

There is also a PDF copy of the book available for only $14.99 which includes a $10 donation to Support Act.
