A Rankin Park woman is celebrating her birthday with a little more cash in her pocket after scoring a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win.
Initially, the birthday girl thought she’d won $10,000 but soon realised that she’d actually picked up the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000.
“When I saw the extra zero, I just kept screaming, this is not happening,” she said
“Happy Birthday to me!”
Confirming her win with an official from The Lott, the New South Wales player admitted she was still riding high from the revelation.
“I’m going to celebrate with my mum, upgrade my home with solar panels and give up one of my three jobs!
“I’m totally chuffed at how things worked out. I am so grateful.”
Her winning entry of two random numbers was purchased at Lambton Nextra in Elder Street, Lambton.
Lambton Nextra owner Trish Firth admitted the team had become teary-eyed when they heard they’d sold a 1st Prize winning Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket.
“We’re celebrating with a big sign in-store. There are streamers and balloons everywhere!” she exclaimed.
“Over the last four years, we have been blessed with a lot of major lottery wins. We’ve started calling our town Lucky Lambton.
“This winning entry couldn’t have gone to a better person; our winner is lovely and we know she deserves and appreciates it.
“She always joked that we’d sell her the winning ticket one day, and it turns out she was right!”
