Some great films being showcased at The Regal Cinema in Birmingham Gardens this weekend and we’ve got all the info.

FRIDAY 8th of AUGUST

7.30pm – THE WIND RISES (PG)

A pacifist film about real-life aeronautical engineer Jiro Horikoshi who understands that his country is headed for disaster but still pursues his dream of designing aircraft. Japanese language, English subtitles. Nominated BEST ANIMATED FEATURE, 2014 Oscars + 20 min short film AN AMERICAN PIANO, written by Novocastrian Hamish Downie.

SATURDAY 9th of AUGUST

12pm – JERSEY BOYS (M)

Four young men from the wrong side of the tracks come together to form the iconic pop group THE FOUR SEASONS.Directed by Academy Award winner CLINT EASTWOOD.

A good priest on Ireland’s west coast, Brandon Gleeson is held to blame for the sins of his fellow bad priests by his own parishioners, one of whom enters the confessional and threatens to kill him in a week’s time. A stunning black comedy from the makers of THE GUARD. Stars Chris O’Dowd (The IT Crowd), Dylan Moran (Black Books), Kelly Reilly (Mrs Henderson Presents) and Aiden Gillen (Game of Thrones).

SUNDAY 10th of AUGUST

12pm – FROZEN SING-A-LONG (G)

  1. Please could you email me movies and times ….for weekends of June up to 20th as we would like to use tickets we have been given to the Regal …..before we travel for the winter.
