Vision Australia’s open day, to be held at Newcastle Jockey Club, will give people the chance discover the latest technology and ideas that support those who are vision impaired to live the life they choose.
The event to be held on Friday the 9th October from 10am to 4pm, and on Saturday the 10th October from 10am to 3pm will give people the chance to talk to Vision Australia’s specialist staff about ways to improve independence at home, increase the chance of finding employment, maximise education opportunities, and connect with others.
The event will also feature a range of seminar-style discussions. Topics include the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), MyAgedCare, the latest accessible online streaming services and health and fitness technology.
