Springfest, a new music festival highlighting local original talent, will be held in Morpeth’s School of Arts Hall on September 26.
The festival aims to offer budding musicians the chance to showcase their talent, and the line-up features mostly local talent discovered by Fly Sunday Promotions’ Dan Burrows at the weekly open-mic night he runs at Miss Mullens Bar in Morpeth.
Springfest will offer two stages of entertainment, both offering live and local original music. The main stage being inside the School of Arts Hall, and featuring Oscar and the Grouches, Faster than Flight, Big Brave, Boneman and The Nicholas Toby Band.
An acoustic stage for solo performers will be set up outside in the garden, featuring Simon Hollins, Laura Louanne Morgan, Ben Bradley, Georgina Grimshaw, Ben Maddox, Kingsley James.
A selection of craft and premium beers and wines will be available at the event, as well as a barbecue serving up more than just your average sausage sizzle in the garden throughout the evening.
The festival begins at 4.30pm and will continue until 9.30pm, with an after party at the Commercial Hotel.
Tickets are limited, and are available for purchase through Fly Sunday Promotions’ Facebook page.
