Maitland's celebration of summer is in full swing with people flocking to the city to soak up everything it has to offer over the warmer months. One of the highlights of the celebration is happening on Saturday 27 January riverside at The Levee.

This event will see The Levee at Maitland come alive with the sights, sounds and smells of summer.

The Summer in Maitland Celebration at The Levee is alcohol free and family friendly event so bring your picnic blanket, settle in for a summer evening you won't easily forget.

LIVE MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT

There will be roving performers and activities for the kids, while the main stage is set to feature four acts over the evening with headliners Caravãna Sun sure to supply an energetic show supported by Jakubi, Little Quirks band and Earthen Rhythms African Drumming.

FOOD TRUCKS & RESTAURANTS

Hit The Levee on 27 January and tuck into some food from Bao Brothers and Truckwits.

Those of us with a sweet tooth have been taken care of too… Dessert options include delicacies from Hunter Valley Smelly Cheese Shop and CHOUX Patisserie.

28 JAN: Maitland Gaol Open Day (part of 20 Years On)

As part of 20 Years On, the Gaol will be once again unlocking it’s gates for the community on Sunday 28 January 2018 for a gold coin donation. 

The Gaol will be open for visitors from 10.00am until 4.00pm and for a gold coin donation visitors can have a look in the Gaol, inspect new and travelling exhibitions and enjoy a raft of programmed activities throughout the day.

10 FEB: Maitland Riverlights Multicultural Festival

The sights, sounds and tastes of diversity are on show at Riverlights. At dusk the festival atmosphere comes alive with lantern lights, reggae beats and dancing. See the Hunter River transform in a mesmerising and unforgettable family experience.
