Burritos and Bands? Is there a greater combination of things in the world?
The Small Ballrom has announced a special one-off show for Saturday August 6 – pairing together Mexican cuisine and a stacked lineup of bands for Neato Burrito.
The Mexican food will be provided by Down The Rabbit Hole; the new resteaurant inside The Gateway Hotel. They will be frying up all sorts of Burrito goodness.
Headlining the event will be Byron Bay’s Tora. The Electronic whiz kids have two EPs under the belt, and a ton of triple j airplay. They most recently supported RUFUS on their Australian Tour.
Latham’s Grip and The Treehouse Children will also be performing; Neato Burrito is part of their joint ‘Hey Hey, It’s Satuday’ Tour, which sees the two bands play seven shows across seven Saturdays in August and September.
Joining them will be a host of local talent; The Delta Lions have a new single on the way and will be looking to showcase it. The Sea Gypsies and Elaskia will be travelling down from the Central Coast to play the event, and Auxfire and In Motion have been building strong local followings that will be keen to get down and open the dancefloor up.
Tickets to the event are $20 and available from OxTix. The Small Ballroom has stated there might be a few sneaky burrito treats for presale ticket holders.
